Natba Beach Sunset | Padyak Serye

"Stare at the horizon and regain a sense of perspective." Bike. Walk. Reflect. Capture. #BrgyNatba #Bacarra #IlocosNorte # JJ ustPassingThrough | May 28&30, 2020 **Each picture has caption (i.e. reflection) THE SHIP The Lord Jesus Christ had preached out on a ship and taught there many things by parables. It was also on a ship where He rebuked the disciples when strong winds and waves came, "O ye of little faith." The fishing boat served as a humbling pulpit. It is on the pulpit where the afflicted are comforted and the comforted are afflicted. It is where we learn the Scriptures - profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. THE SHIP. THE PULPIT. THE SAND How numerous is the sand? God promised to Abraham for a blessing, "That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the sand which is upon the sea shore." Galatians 3:14 says, That ...

Burgos, Ilocos Norte | Side Trips 2019

The earth is so full of His presence! #WhenInBurgos #IlocosNorte # JJ ustPassingThrough (2019 side trips) **Each picture has caption ( i.e . reflection) RAINBOW Remember what God had said to Noah after the flood. This is a token of the covenant which He had established between Him and all flesh that is upon the earth. He is faithful that PROMISED! SUNSET A period to prepare for a good night rest. God reminds us to lie down, sleep, and dwell in safety. Because tomorrow is another day! God is our refuge. He PROTECTS. KAPURPURAWAN ROCK FORMATION A natural sculpture standing beautifully in the coast of Burgos. The term Kapurpurawan is from Ilocano word "puraw" , which means white. There is this 'white as snow' that tells in the Bible. "Though your sins be as red as scarlet and crimson, though you lie under the guilt of blood, yet, upon your repentance, even that shall be forgiven you, and you shall appear in ...

Pass it on | When in Manila

This was captured near SM Manila along LRT-Central Terminal Station before the entire Luzon lockdown due to COVID19. Before I went to my destination, I grabbed for a quick snack - siomai and gulaman . Then the kid in black sando approached me and begged for money. I asked the vendor to give one order instead. Then came another kid, instructed them to share the food to each other, taught the one in red to at least say 'thank you', and reminded the other one not to be selfish. When you are in travel, talk to the locals. The things that you can learn from them will amaze you. I realized, talking to these kids was preaching myself the things I was telling to them: Share what you have. Always be grateful. Be kind. Reciprocate. Pass it on. Thanking God for such a time as this! # JJ ustPassingThrough #WhenInManila 02.22.2020

Jerusalem

🎼🎵🎶He chose the place, He chose the hour That He would rise by His own power, A sacrifice three days ago And now praise God the Lamb arose.🎶🎵 Such an ancient and revered place. A place where my Saviour was crucified. Someone I know went to this one of the oldest cities in the world, and then gave me this keychain. Maybe, a such reminder also for me to pray and care for MISSIONS. Luke 24:47 "And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem." #CareForMissions #PrayForMissions #Jerusalem #MyKeychainCollectionStory (Originally posted on my Fb account last July 24, 2019)

So help me God!

One of the 2,257 inductees. This captured when we took our oath for the first PRC license God entrusted to me. It was exactly 10 years ago today at Philippine International Convention Center, Manila. As we raised our right hands and repeated after the speaker, we started by declaring with 'feelings', "I" (succeeded by saying our complete names); hereby solemnly sworn to the Republic of the Philippines; and concluded with, "So help me God." To some, maybe, that last statement sounded simple. But for me, that is more than a cliche. I have many failures and carelessness through the years but His mercies are new evey morning and His grace has been sufficient. There is this Unseen Hand on every trial and triumph, on every struggle and success, on every sorrow and smile that I had - a reason to adhere on His purpose and plan for me. I am a steward God made me to be. I, John Joseph Marcelino Esteban, a CHRISTIAN who happened to be a CIVIL ENGINEER. ...
