Israel

One pastor said, "The history of Israel and the inspired words of Scripture help us see our need of His Son."

And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,

And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:

And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
- Luke 24:44-47

I received this present from a Christian friend who worked as a caregiver in Israel for seven years. As she learned to understand the culture and history of Israel, she fell in love with the place and to the people. She was so compassionate in providing direct care to her elderly patients and showed love and kindness to their families as well. Just like Apostle Paul when he persuaded the Jews, she also persuaded them to believe in Christ as their personal Saviour.

Romans 10:1 "Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved."

COMMITMENT SPEECH SAMPLE

It was August of last year when my niece asked me to help her making a commitment speech for their induction program. We tried at least to become relevant – August is Buwan ng Wika, so we decided to use most of it in Filipino; she loves Mathematics, so we agreed to use and relate Math as her introduction; she is not actually fluent in English (and she admits that), so she practiced her pagka-maka-bayan kuno! 😁 Below is the full text of her speech and I found it saved on my laptop. ****************************************** Our esteemed Guest speaker, our active School Principal, Faculty and Facilitative Staffs, Fellow Officers, Fellow Students, Ladies and Gentlemen, a pleasant morning to one and all. ...

Pamana

One historian said, "PAMANA (Heritage) is something that is passed down from one generation to the next. Heritage are also family’s tradition, values, wisdom, principles, and formed experiences that are not static but revolves over time ." This poem is inspired by 1 Thessalonians 1:3. Walang patid kong ...

Just a Short Message for Incoming Engineering Students

(I shared this text to someone and I am inspired to put on here, in hopes that it can encourage also somebody.) Study for life, not for grades. When the time comes that you do not hit your aim to have excellent grades, remember that passing or conditional or even failing grades is a norm in Engineering school. Be strong and have a good courage. Extreme pressures come along. And when failure comes, take in mind and in heart that failure is a not a person. Failure is just an event. Most often, a series of events. Enjoy to endure and endure to enjoy. Engineering is enduring and enjoying. (The half has not yet been told in all engineering Fb pages or vlog contents. Discover the wonders for yourself.) Look for seniors or upper class  men whom you can look up to and listen to them. When you do, you will also have a story to tell to younger than you someday. If you cannot find good kuyas and ates , be the trailblazer. Expect the worst but hope for the best! When we say h...
